The Garner City Council held a public hearing on the proposed sale of the Red Elevator to Stellar Industries. Garner Mayor Tim Schmidt explained that the property is part of the fabric of the city.
Rayhons made the site a successful location for the city, but things changed and the property needed to be sold again.
The city became very interested in the street alongside the property, and a local manufacturer became interested in the building according to Schmidt.
One of many reasons Stellar Industries is interested in the property is because it gives them more room to expand for their employees.
Mayor Tim Schmidt stated that the city approved a resolution that directed the sale of an interest in the property.
