While with Prime Minister Netanyahu, Gov. Reynolds also signed a proclamation celebrating the 75th anniversary of Israel’s independence.

“It was an honor to join Prime Minister Netanyahu and reaffirm Iowa’s unwavering support of Israel as it celebrates 75 years as an independent nation. Israel’s vigilant pursuit of freedom and security in a hostile world powerfully demonstrates the remarkable fortitude of the Israeli people,” said Gov. Reynolds. “I believe there is great opportunity for further economic partnership in the fields of insurance and agriculture, industries in which Israel and Iowa both excel.”

“Iowa is where agriculture, insurance, technology, and manufacturing intersect to meet the demands of our global economy,” said Gov. Reynolds. “In an uncertain world, Iowa’s stability stands out. Combined with our low cost of doing business, our talented workforce, and affordable housing, there is no better place for investment.”

The governor also participated in a wreath-laying ceremony at Yad Vashem, the World Holocaust Remembrance Center in Jerusalem; and met with the U.S. Ambassador to Israel.
