Winnebago Board to Discuss Drainage Issues

The Winnebago County Board of Supervisors will meet Tuesday morning to first approve an Engagement Agreement between the county and Jason Comisky, Ahlers, and Cooney PC. A meeting between the group and the supervisors will clarify how the wording must be done on the November ballot regarding the proposed levy and local income tax for EMS services in Winnebago County. The board will have to discuss what needs to be done before next week and the meeting with the firm.

The board will then hold a public hearing on the expansion of the Iowa Cage Free LLP. The poultry farm is looking to expand its volume of chickens near the Rembrandt facility and needs approval from the board to do so.

Drainage matters will feature a discussion on a petition to add an observation intake into Lateral 2 of Drainage District 43. The intake will monitor the water flowing through the system. The board will also have to approve additional outlet tiles which will be added to the main ditch in Drainage District 3.

The board will then participate in a committee meeting concerning the American Rescue Plan Act funding distribution.
