It appears that some people visiting Diamond Joe’s Casino in Worth County also wanted to get in some sight-seeing according to Sheriff Dan Fank. Only this wasn’t your ordinary sight-seeing.
The tower is a little more obvious than others and is visible in all directions. It also is very tall in comparison to others noted Worth County Auditor Jacki Backhaus.
The difficulty lies in getting to the ladder that leads to the top of the tower according to Fank.
The Worth County Sheriff’s Office responded to the call but did not have to do any climbing up to the scenic balcony at the top of the tower which is off limits to the public.
No word on any of the charges that were filed against the two male trespassers or what was their motivation.
