Classes of Forest City graduates annually participate in an alumni basketball tournament at the Civic Auditorium in Forest City. They play for pride and bragging rights but most of all the fun of the competition.
Forest City Recreational Supervisor Sue Edmondson oversees the event and says that it is a labor of love.
The participants are grouped according to class says Edmondson.
The tournament has spurred other interest in cities and small towns across the country. Edmondson has been asked how organization is done to accomplish a tournament like this.
Edmondson has mastered the art of organization when it comes to the tournament. From it she sees a great reward from both the participants and the fans who attend to cheer on the competitors.
The tournament concludes on Sunday with the championship game to be aired on kiow.com under the Forest City video stream.
