Rex Swalve Cancer Benefit

There will be a benefit for Rex Swalve on Saturday, May 4th from 4:00 – 8:00 pm at Mat’s Place in Garner.

In January of 2022, Rex was diagnosed with lung cancer. His road to recovery was far from easy, but he fought hard and overcame all of the challenges. In December of 2023, he completed his last treatment and was finally cancer free!!
Unfortunately, in early January of 2024, he became very sick and two more masses were found; Rex was diagnosed with Stage 4 brain cancer. Due to surgeries, complications and appointments, both Rex and Sandy have missed out on a substantial amount of work. Rex was their main source of income, but has been unable to work as of January.
Let’s rally together, like small communities do to lift them up and show our support!
