The Britt Public Works Department recently had to flush out a pair of fire hydrants as a precaution according to Public Works Director Vance Hagen.
Hagen stated that the flushing was necessary even though it came well before the city crews would routinely do the work. He also explained to the city council that there would be another flushing shortly.
The city will notify the residents when the flushing will take place.
