Feenstra Backs Resolution to Promote “All of the Above” American Energy Production

Today, U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) cosponsored a resolution which expresses that an “all of the above” approach to energy production is the best and most viable route to address energy policy and restore America’s energy independence.

“President Biden destroyed America’s energy independence on his first day in office, outsourcing our energy needs to our adversaries and halting construction on the Keystone XL pipeline. In response, House Republicans passed our Lower Energy Costs Act – which included my amendment to ban China from buying American farmland suitable for ethanol and biodiesel production – to unleash American energy production,” said Rep. Feenstra. “I am proud to cosponsor this commonsense resolution that reaffirms my commitment to an ‘all of the above’ energy strategy that promotes biofuels like ethanol and biodiesel to lower gas prices and restore American energy dominance.”

Feenstra has been a staunch advocate for domestic energy production and homegrown biofuels throughout his first two terms in Congress, supporting an array of legislation to prioritize American energy production, including:

  • The Lower Energy Costs Act, which includes Feenstra’s amendment – the Defend America’s Rural Energy Act – to ban China from buying American farmland suitable for ethanol and biodiesel production.
  • The Protecting America’s Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) from China Act to prohibit direct or indirect SPR sales to the Chinese Communist Party and strengthen American energy independence.
  • The Consumer and Fuel Retailer Choice Act of 2023, which allows for the permanent year-round sale of ethanol blends higher than E-10 – such as E-15 – at gas stations nationwide. Feenstra is an original cosponsor.

Last Congress, Feenstra was named an “American Energy Champion” by the American Energy Alliance for his legislative record of promoting affordable, abundant, and reliable American energy. Feenstra received a perfect 100% score.
