Kossuth Board to Review Drainage Repairs

The Kossuth County Board of Supervisors will meet on Tuesday at 8am to get an update from the Emergency Medical Services Administrator on the current state of the department and any needs they may have.

The board will then et its monthly update from the General Assistance Administrator on specific issues that need to be addressed. This will be followed by trustee appointments to the Plum Creek and Burt Townships.

The board will hear from Ledyard Windpower LLC on a decommissioning plan that has been dated for June 10th. The board will get specifics about the decommissioning and what will be done afterwards.

Drainage matters will include a third pay estimate for tri-drainage districts including 84 involving a repair. The board will also get an update on Drainage District 4 and the FEMA repairs being done there too. This will be followed by a decision on a potential project for Sub 4 in Drainage District 60 where a tile improvement needs to be made. Four other requests for drainage repairs will also be decided upon.

The board may move forward with a land annexation into Drainage District 80. If the annexation is completed, the board may need to have a reclassification hearing and schedule a future public hearing on the matter.
