Winnebago Board to Discuss Continual Drainage Issue

The Winnebago County Board of Supervisors will meet on Tuesday with a short agenda of items. The board will hear from Winnebago County Engineer Scott Meinders who will review the current state of secondary roads. He may discuss any upcoming or current projects which would include repairs and grading of the roads.

Drainage matters will also be reviewed including new and current projects. The board will focus on an ongoing issue with drainage near a nursing home in Lake Mills. Lateral 13 of Drainage District 47 is in need of repair and possible improvement. The board will get an initial report of the situation and try to figure out if the city would need to handle the project or if it falls under county responsibility.

Additional claims and transfers will also be reviewed by the board before adjourning.
