Garrett Ham, Lake Mills Bulldogs repeat as TIC West Golf Champs
The Lake Mills Bulldogs swept the awards again at the TIC West golf meet in Forest City Monday. The Bulldogs narrowly won the team title over Forest City by two strokes, 322 to 324. It’s the fourth straight conference title for Lake Mills.
The reigning individual champion Garrett Ham was the overwhelming favorite and shot a 73 for the victory. Ham won the title last year as a sophomore and finished fourth two years ago as a freshman. He was also named the TIC West Golfer-of-the-Year, an award he won for the first time after former teammate Bennett Berger won the award the past two seasons.
Lake Mills coach golf Travis Laudner was again named the TIC West Coach-of-the-Year.
Forest City came within two strokes of the defending Class 1A state champs but came up short at home. Ty Dillavou and Jack Harms finished second and third for the Indians, one stroke off each other to help them push for the title. Dillavou finished second with a 76, and Harms finished third with a 77.
The top 10 individuals each earn All-Conference honors. Each of them received a medal from Forest City activities director Chad Moore.
