The Iowa Legislature has been working on a number of issues including defining specifics about school funding. In a recent legislative forum in Forest City, discussion was brought up about administrative costs in school funding. State Senator Dennis Guth detailed what Senate File 251 does in addressing the issue.
Guth cited that there has been what appears to be a dramatic uptick in administrative personnel in Iowa schools which prompted the writing of the bill.
Guth sees the measure going forward in the Iowa Senate which will impact local school districts along with those around the state.
