Worth Supervisors Want Bridges Reviewed
Bridges in Worth County are marked with weight limit signs. These designate the amount of weight the bridges can safely sustain. There is a concern that with some bridges, there is the potential for dangerous situations to develop.
Worth County Engineer Richard Brumm addressed the Worth County Board of Supervisors on a resolution that would evaluate all county bridges.
The evaluations will look at whether some of the bridges can handle an additional 12% in weight limits. To do this, Brumm is looking for some outside help.
Brumm is looking to designate some for the All-Purposes Permit status. In order to do so, the bridges must meet several criteria.
The inspection work is expected to begin shortly.
