Forest City’s Lili Nelson ends her three-year high school career with four state medals and a school record in the 1500m.
Saturday afternoon, Lili ran 4:51.16 to set a new school record in her ‘favorite’ event, a record she’s been chasing for three years.
Nelson won her first state medal in 2021 as an 8th-place finisher in the 1500m run. In 2022, Nelson won a medal in both the 1500m and the 300m, and at this year’s meet, Nelson got a medal in the 4×800.
