Hancock County Board to Discuss Pipelines, Roads, and HVAC

The Hancock County Board of Supervisors will meet on Monday to discuss the next fiscal year budget. This includes making any amendments to the elected officials’ salaries and subsequently the county staff workers and finalizing the budget before holding a public hearing at 9:15am.

The board will obtain and possibly vote on the bills for the HVAC systems that are being installed in both the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office and Courthouse. There are four pay estimates to be evaluated and paid.

Hancock County Engineer Jeremy Purvis will update the board on the state of secondary roads in the county. He will participate in a public hearing to be held at 10am regarding a paved road resurfacing of 220th Street between Hill Avenue and Iowa Avenue.

Two pipeline issues will be discussed. Will Higgins of Roeslein Alternative Energy will discuss a private utility biogas pipeline project. There will be a videoconference with Brian Yung, Johnson, Mulholland, Cochrane, Cochrane, Yung & Engler, to discuss Summit Carbon Solutions proposal regarding drainage crossing procedures and a compensation agreement.
