The girls state basketball championships start today in Des Moines with the Class 5A tournament. Seven quarterfinals games from 10 AM to 8:30 PM will be played today and tomorrow. Six games will be played on Wedneday to end the quarterfinal round, with the semifinals running Thursday and Friday before the championships.
