At one time, the Mosaic buildings in Forest City had several handicap provisions in the curbing on the street. There were also most recently no parking areas which motorists had to deal with. all of this changed according to Forest City Administrator Daisy Huffman. She recently addressed a new ordinance that would lift the no parking zones. There was a reason for this change says Huffman.
With the changes came the need to change the parking regulations.
The city council will allow those who live on south 7th Street to express their opinion on the issue at the next council meeting. Mayor Ron Holland believes by doing so, the city is making the right decision.
