National Night Out Spotlights Area Emergency Services
The Forest City area will celebrate National Night Out with the Forest City Emergency Services Departments tonight from 6-8pm at the Emergency Services Center. the event is free and open to the public. The intention is for the public to get to know their local emergency services teams.
Along with the opportunity to meet and greet law enforcement, ambulatory services, and the Forest City Fire Department, Forest city Police Chief Tom Montgomery said there will be some great food for everyone.
The night will also feature games for the entire family, fire trucks and emergency services vehicles to view, police display, beer goggles.
Montgomery stated that the event will not be held in downtown Forest City, rather in Pammel Park.
Police and the Sheriff’s Office will be giving demonstrations.
Officials say that this year’s games will include a Tug of war, checkers, giant jenga, kerplunk, potato sack races, and corn hole (bags).
