Tue Crowned Hancock County District Fair Queen

The Hancock County District Fair has a new Queen. She is Sydney Tue and she comes from a deep field of strong candidates. She is the daughter of Chad and Michelle Tue. She attends West Hancock High School.

Tue was very excited about being crowned Fair Queen.

She was chosen among five finalists for the title including Anna Barker, Elise Wertjes, and Corina King. The runner-up was from Garner Hayfield Ventura High School Jenna Pringnitz. All five had to give a speech on what they learned during the COVID lockdown and answered impromptu questions.

Tue will now head down to the Iowa State Fair where she will represent Hancock County in the State Fair Queen competition. She knows it is a big responsibility but is excited about meeting many of the young women who are competing for the same title.

Tue will receive a $750 scholarship, a Pandora bracelet from Stadheim Jewelers in Mason City, and a flower bouquet from the Flower Cart in Britt.
