Lake Mills Readies for Pure Prairie Poultry Move

Preliminary steps are being taken for a business to move into the Lake Mills city limits. The city council recently decided to set a public hearing date according to Lake Mills City Clerk Diane Price.

Lake Mills City Council meetings usually begin around 7pm and it is expected to begin right after the meeting called to order. Pure Prairie Poultry has approached the council about setting up operations in Lake Mills according to Price.

The city does not own the Larson Manufacturing facility, and some formalities would need to be addressed prior to the poultry company beginning its operation according to Price.

The public is encouraged to voice their opinion on August 21st at the council meeting.
