Hancock County Economic Development Holds its Annual Meeting

The Hancock County Economic Development organization held its annual dinner at the Duncan Community Hall on Thursday night. The event brought together business and industry leaders in Hancock County for a night of fun and unity. Executive Director Jill Kramer was very pleased with the number of people who attended.

Kramer explained that this event is part of the meeting cycle that the organization does.

The meeting opened with a financial report by Treasurer Sara Wellik followed by an overview of 2022 by board member and Britt Mayor Ryan Arndorfer. The members elected its Board of Directors along with its officers.

John K. Hanson Career Center received an award from HCED Executive Director Jill Kramer

Board member Christy Marchand awarded Key Contributor Awards to the Hancock County Hospital and the John K. Hanson Career Center among others. Kramer stated that the awards program was fairly new to the annual meeting.

Tim Clue (extreme right) entertains the Hancock County Economic Development group.

The organization welcomed comedian and motivational speaker Tim Clue who entertained the crowd with his high intense and thought-provoking comedy.  Kramer explained how Hancock County Economic Development was able to secure Clue as a guest speaker.

Kramer stated that the event takes a lot of planning and help from members of the group to make the meeting successful. Members of the group also acted like vendors who made and served food, provided tables, and other amenities.
