The Hancock County Road Department is advising residents to be prepared for road work on Highway 18 from Monday at 9am to Friday at 4pm. the department released a statement that read:
“The railroad is redoing the crossing on HWY18 by the Lumber Yard. Project should only take a week. The DOT has a Detour set up on Yale Ave. up to B30/260th Street and then back down R64/Taft Ave. This is not a county project.”
Drivers should be prepared to take the alternate route during this improvement to the road and railroad track.
