Winnebago County Conservation Board Rice Lake Ice-Fishing Contest

The Winnebago County Conservation Board will be hosting the Rice Lake Ice-Fishing Contest Saturday, January 29th from 1:00 PM to 3:00PM, at Rice Lake State Park. Rice Lake State Park is located at 43000 235th Ave, south of Lake Mills, Iowa.
Both experienced and novice ice-fishers are welcome to participate and enjoy a day of ice-fishing. For those that have never been ice-fishing the Conservation Board will have equipment available to borrow, offer basic instructions on how to ice-fish, and will drill holes in the ice. Prizes will be awarded in various classes, and there will be a door prize drawing for those that aren’t able to reel in a winning fish. Warm refreshments will be provided. Families are welcome, but children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult. This event is free of charge. Pre-registration is not required, but is recommended.
