Lake Mills City Council to Meet Monday

The Lake Mills City Council will meet beginning at 5pm on Monday starting with a public forum to allow residents and employees to voice their opinions on topics relevant to city business. After the consent agenda is addressed and voted on, the city will consider the T-Mobile agreement with the police department.

The city is looking to establish a social media account for greater exposure and communication with residents and those interested in making Lake Mills their future home. This will be followed by the Parks and Recreation Board recommendation/request to create a subcommittee of the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board to research the community recreation center. The city also wants to hear the Civic Center repair/building status update. This includes the approval to start the process to identify a contractor and/or engineer for Civic Center Restrooms remodel and update.

The council will get an update on current and renewal lease agreements of City Property and will consider the approval of City of Lake Mills incentives for Home Base Iowa. The program calls for the consideration of veterans first when hiring an employee or contractor.
