The Wright County Board of Supervisors will meet on Monday beginning at 9am. You can view the meeting on kiow.com or b1031.com. The meeting will consist of reviewing and receiving the Budget Amendment documents for Fiscal Year End 2027. The board will set a Budget Amendment Hearing for August 24, 2026.
The board will hear from the Wright County Treasurer and the Wright County Engineer Adam Clemons before they hold a discussion and take possible action regarding the formal establishment of an internal Wright County Energy Utility and Data Center Policy Workgroup. This includes the designation and appointment of participating board members, a commission, and staff members. The board discussed the idea of a data center coming to Wright County and although no company has officially approached the county, they are preparing for the possibility.
The board will also get an update on the current status of the Wright County Agribusiness Park before handling drainage trustee matters.
