Lake Mills Back to School Breakfast Scheduled

The Lake Mills Chamber Development Corporation is ready to welcome educators and school staff back for its annual Back to School Breakfast on Monday, August 17th, beginning at 7:00 a.m. and located in the Lake Mills High School Foyer.
The annual event celebrates the start of a new school year by bringing together Lake Mills
Community School teachers, staff, administrators, Chamber members, local businesses, and community leaders for a morning of appreciation, inspiration, and connection.
This year’s featured speaker is Kyle Peterson, a Lake Mills Community School alumni who works at Berkley Bait & Design. Peterson is the recipient of the prestigious Iowa Life
Saving/Valor Award. During the breakfast, he will share his personal story and encourage educators as they prepare to make a lasting impact on students this upcoming school year.
Each year, the Chamber invites a Lake Mills alumnus to return and share their experiences, highlighting the lasting influence that local educators and the community have had on their lives.
The event serves as both a welcome back celebration and a reminder of the important role education plays in building a strong and thriving community. The Lake Mills Chamber of Commerce and Development Corporation, directed by Olivia Martin-King, holds several community events each week.
