Cerro Gordo County Deals With Road Issues

Area storms have dropped significant amounts of rain in some locations which in turn have affected secondary roads. According to Cero Gordo County Engineer Brandon Billings, his road department has been busy after the storms push through.
The County Engineers Office has begun a training certification program to allow for new employees in the department to be certified in grading of the roads and other skills according to Billings.
Billings also sees the fencing project along Illinois Avenue being completed soon.
The road grading is progressing, but according to Billings, some drivers have been a little over anxious.
Billings encourages drivers to use detours where applicable to avoid running into danger.
