The Garner City Council recently approved an agreement with the Iowa Department of Transportation on road maintenance. According to Garner Mayor Tim Schmidt, some of the new construction is yet to be finished.
The new construction was not just limited to roads according to Schmidt.
The project was funded by both the state and by the city according to Schmidt.
The new amenities are an effort by the city and the state to bring new traffic to Garner businesses and recreational facilities.
