The proposed agenda is as follows:

Convene as Board of Supervisors
1. Approve tentative agenda.
2. Joint Workshop Session with the Wright County Economic Development Commission
a. Review of Statutory Economic Development Frameworks

 Presentation and discussion regarding the definition of “Public Purpose” and
job retention under Iowa Code Chapter 15A.1.
b. Review of Funding Structures and Restricted Assets

 Delineation between General Basic County appropriations and the private
WCED Marketing Fund supported by community business investors.

c. Presentation of Proposed Joint Compromise Policy

 Review of the proposed annual $1,800.00 accounting allocations, tracking
boundaries, and reporting protocols for local hosting versus professional
employee travel.

d. Conclusion of the Joint Workshop Session

 Motion to formally exit the joint workshop portion of the meeting.
3. Discussion and possible approval of Joint Policy Statement No. 2026-ED-02
a. Policy establishing permanent expense coding boundaries, an annual $1,800.00 Public Purpose Hospitality budget framework, and distinct documentation tracking requirements
for the WCED Department.
