Wright County Board to Hold Joint Meeting

The Wright County Board of Supervisors will meet on Monday beginning at 9am. You can view the meeting on kiow.com or b1031.com at that time. 

The meeting is a joint workshop session with the Wright County Economic Development (WCED) Commission and will perform a review of Statutory Economic Development Frameworks by looking at funding structures and restricted assets. They will outline money coming from the General Basic county appropriations and the private WCED Marketing Fund supported by community business investors.  

The workshop will look at the proposed annual $1,800.00 accounting allocations, tracking boundaries, and reporting protocols for local hosting versus professional employee travel. 

Once the joint meeting is concluded, the board may approve Joint Policy Statement No. 2026-ED-02 which establishes permanent expense coding boundaries, an annual $1,800.00 Public Purpose Hospitality budget framework, and distinct documentation tracking requirements for the WCED Department.
