U. S. Senator Chuck Grassley visited the Winnebago Cooperative Telecom Association (WCTA) in Lake Mills on Friday afternoon. Meting with him were businessmen, bankers, farmers, and residents of the area. WCTA CEO Mark Thoma expressed his appreciation of having Grassley there.
Grassley fielded a number of questions from those who attended. Among them were questions on the farm bill. Grassley cited that the Senate needed to finish the current legislation and get it to the President to sign.
Grassley was also asked what he felt were the biggest challenges facing the country.
Grassley also addressed the current cost of prescription drugs.
The stop in Lake Mills was a part of Grassley’s annual 99 county tour.
