Wright County Man Arrested in Child Sexual Abuse Case, Awaiting Extradition to Texas

CLARION, Iowa — A Wright County man is being held in the Wright County Jail following his arrest Wednesday in connection with a Texas child sexual abuse investigation, according to the Wright County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities said the investigation began in December 2025 when the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office in Mount Vernon, Texas, contacted Wright County deputies for assistance in locating a person of interest.
On May 20, 2026, members of the Wright County Sheriff’s Office, along with an investigator from the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, the Texas Department of Public Safety Texas Rangers, and Homeland Security Investigations, arrested 61-year-old Adrian Hernandez of rural Kanawha.
Officials said Hernandez also used the names Reynaldo Hernandez Villalon and Arturo Rios.
According to the press release, Hernandez is wanted in Franklin County, Texas, on three felony counts of indecency with a child involving sexual contact.
Hernandez is currently being held in the Wright County Jail pending extradition to Texas.
Investigators also determined Hernandez was allegedly in the United States illegally, and an ICE detainer has been placed with the Wright County Jail.
Authorities emphasized that all persons arrested or charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
The Wright County Sheriff’s Office said no additional information will be released at this time.
