Iowa Flu Activity Climbs To “Very High,” State Report Shows

Iowa is seeing a sharp increase in flu cases, according to the latest report from the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services.
The report says flu activity statewide is now classified as “very high,” with positive lab-confirmed flu results jumping more than 13 points as the year came to a close.
The report also shows COVID-19 activity is increasing, now at a “moderate” level, up 6 percent. RSV activity, however, showed no growth during the same reporting period.
State health officials did not break down the numbers by county in the report, so local-level totals were not available.
