Severe Weather Threat in Iowa Monday Afternoon and Evening

Scattered thunderstorms are expected to develop across parts of Iowa this afternoon and evening, bringing the potential for severe weather.

Forecasters say storms will likely form along a frontal boundary in northern and central Iowa late in the day. The primary threat will be large hail, especially with storms that develop during the afternoon and early evening hours. As storms organize into clusters later tonight, the risk may shift toward damaging winds.
