Garner to Purchase a Replacement City Car

The Garner City Council was asked to replace the existing city car with a 2016 Ford Escape. The current vehicle is a former police cruiser which City administrator Jim Collins stated needs to be replaced.
The council couldn’t resist ribbing him about what he would like to have in a city car.
Councilwoman Marline Lewerke praised Collins for using the current vehicle.
As to what will happen with the old car, Mayor Tim Schmidt explained what the city intends to do.
Collins explained that notification of the sale will happen through various methods.
The price on the Ford Escape will be $15,800. Those who may be interested in bidding can contact the Garner City Hall for further details.
