The Iowa High School Soccer Coaches Association announced Wednesday afternoon all-state teams for all three girls classifications and all four boys classifications.
Garner-Hayfield-Ventura earned two boys on the list of just 36 names state-wide for each class – 13 athletes on the first team, 13 on the second team, and 1o honorable mentioned athtles.
Senior Bronson Buitenwerf had an excellent season for the Cardinals defensively and was selected for the Class 1A first team. Junior teammate Aidan Schisel was also stellar on defense this year for the Cardinals and was recognized as an honorable-mention defender.

The Cardinals finished 4-9 overall this season and fell to North Fayette Valley in the postseason.
