The Forest City Council has approved the golf course lease with Bear Creek Golf Club. The council saw a few changes in the paperwork according to City Administrator Daisy Huffman.
The council was looking to get some work done on the course including turf and bridge work.
The structure of the 10-year agreement benefits both parties. There was a little give and take from both parties during the negotiation, but the agreement allows for the continual operation of the course according to Huffman.
The council will now incorporate the lease into its annual budget.
