The last few years for county governments have been difficult with mental health regions expanding and then being dismantled in favor of smaller regions and better services for mental health patients.
For the moment, it appears that things have stabilized with respect to the formation and operation of regions. What has not is the increase in mental health patients. Every year, May is set aside as Mental Health Month. In Wright County, the Board of Supervisors delivered a proclamation honoring the month.
Chairman Dean Kluss took the opportunity to announce the measure.
Kluss encourages everyone to recognize the importance of the month for area residents afflicted with mental health issues.
