The Iowa Motion Pictures Association will hold its annual gala on May 6th. The effort is to recognize motion picture artists in the area for their insightful and creative work. Jim Brockhohn is the president of the association and highlighted the activities that will take place.
The bigger festivities will begin later that same day according to Brockhohn.
Rickey Bartlett is a morning show host on the CBS TV affiliate in Cedar Rapids and has been on the TV series Chicago PD. The entertainment does not stop there as Brockhohn explained that there will be more artists on stage.
Admission is free to the daytime activities between 10am and 3pm at both the Forest Theater and the Boman Fine Arts Center, but there is a $20 admission fee for the evening activities.
