The Garner City Council recently received a substantial donation towards the construction and renovation of the city ball field. Now the council must move forward with a public hearing on the designation of the expanded Garner Urban Renewal Area on the Urban Renewal Plan.
The ball field project falls right in line with the renewal plan according to Schmidt.
The hearing will take place on May 9th at the city council’s next meeting.
