The Worth County Board of Supervisors will meet beginning at 8:30am and you can watch it live on kiow.com. The meeting will begin with discussion on Resolution #2023-12 authorizing early redemption of General Obligation County Refunding Bonds, Series 2015A. The board will discuss the payout of those bonds.
At 9am, the board will hold a public hearing on the proposed Fiscal Year 2024 budget. Members of the Worth County public can register their opinions or objections to the measure. Once the hearing is closed, the board will discuss the proposed increases in salaries for elected officials in the county. Following the hearing, the board will also discuss passage of the new budget.
The board will also discuss amendments to the budget and set a public hearing date for them.
the board will receive John Torbert of the Iowa Drainage District association who will review new rules and regulations regarding drainage and their districts.
The board will also resume discussions on emergency medical services within the county.
