Hancock County Appoints New County Attorney

Rachel Ginbey has taken over the Reigns

Hancock County has a new female legal authority.  The Hancock County Board of Supervisors Monday appointed Rachel Ginbey to serve as the new Hancock County Attorney.  Ginbey replaces Blake Norman, who was recently appointed District Court Judge.

Ginbey, who received her law degree from Creighton University, was sworn in on Monday by Judge Norman, before beginning her first official day on the job.

Hancock County Supervisor Jerry Tlach says Ginbey, a native of rural Rockwell, comes to Hancock County after serving nearly 9 years as Floyd County Attorney.

Prior to Floyd County, Ginbey served as Assistant County Attorney in Cerro Gordo County for three years.
