Winnebago County Board to Meet Today

The Winnebago County Board of Supervisors will meet on Tuesday to discuss secondary road issues with Winnebago County Engineer Scott Meinders. He will update the board on any current projects or repairs that may need to be done before the colder days set in here shortly.

Drainage matters will also be discussed. Winnebago County Drainage Clerk Kris Oswald will ask for a public hearing date to be set on a drainage tile application from Adam Lakore who wants to install private til which may have to go north from its origination point, under a roadway and eventually into a public tile in Forest Township Section 34. The move will not increase the amount of water already in the public tile.

The board will also hear about work that may need to be done in Lateral 4 of Drainage District 1. Oswald will address the concerns regarding sub 1 of Lateral 14 and the work involved.

Shooting at the Hogsback Shooting Range ends at sunset everyday, however there still remain issues with some shooters who remain after hours and practice. The noise from the target practice after hours becomes a nuisance to nearby neighbors. The Winnebago County Conservation Board wants to ask the board what measures can be taken including possible fines to resolve the issue.
