Worth County Board to Discuss Urban Renewal Plan

The Worth County Board of Supervisors will meet on Monday morning beginning at 8:30am to first discuss the current state of secondary roads with Worth County Engineer Richard Brumm. He will review current projects and road maintenance, then ask the board to consider a Professional Services Agreement between Worth County & WHKS & Co. The discussion will center on structure replacements of Kensett 26 on 415th ST and Lincoln 42 on Mallard Ave.

Drainage matters will be covered including a potential project involving Drainage District 2. The board has appointed an engineer to look into the clean and repairs of the drainage ditches. He will report back to the board with his findings and the board will set a public hearing date on the matter.

The board heard from the Plans and Zoning Commission on the eligibility of tearing down the current courthouse and replacing it with a new one. The finding by the commission was that it did not qualify as part of the urban renewal plans. The board will now hear from Steve Bodensteiner of Viafield regarding the Urban Renewal Plan and Area
At 9:30am the board will hold a public hearing on the designation of the Expanded Urban Renewal Area and Urban Renewal Plan Amendment and Project. the public is invited to attend.
