Worth County Board to Review Underground Utilities Procedures

The Worth County Board of Supervisors will meet on Monday morning beginning at 8:30am to first hear from Worth County Engineer Richard Brumm on the current state of secondary roads. He will outline current maintenance procedures and any projects the department may have.

The board will hear from the Drainage Clerk on current drainage claims and present for discussion a resolution regarding construction in drainage districts and utility permits.

This will be followed by a Project Funding Request Letter which is an evaluation of the Procedure for Determining Soil Wetness during Construction of Underground Utilities to Minimize Excessive Soil Compaction on Farm Soils. The board will discuss the impacts on such work and encourages the public to attend.

There will be two agreements that the board must consider. The first is a 28E Agreement with Northwood Meals on Wheels Incorporated and the other is a Memorandum of Agreement Between the Iowa Department of Transportation and Worth County.
