The Winnebago County Conservation Board wants to remind people that the shooting times have now changed at the Hogsback Target Shooting Range northwest of Lake Mills. The range rules are that shooting must end at sunset. As a result, shooting must end at sunset each day.
According to Winnebago County Naturalist Lisa Ralls, shooters almost always obey these rules out of respect for the neighbors to the shooting range.
The range will continue to open in the morning at 9:00 am and can be used all day, but the sunset rule will apply and be strictly enforced.
