The National 4H Week is coming up next week and along with it are a number of activities that are planned or getting the finishing touches done. Worth County Extension Specialist Dennis Johnson explained that this is a busy time for local 4H clubs.
Since the pandemic, area clubs have been seeing continual growth. Children and their parents want activities to participate in and once they find them, Johnson says they tend to stay in them.
This means that some clubs have doubled or tripled in size. Leaders are prepared for the influx and are actively recruiting even more, especially during the National 4H Week. Regardless, Johnson and the area leaders are very happy with the results so far.
Those who might be interested in joining a 4H Club should contact their county extension service for more information. Members say that the experience is invaluable.
