The city of Garner does it’s best to keep the city modern and accessible for its residents. However, the council was presented with a need to make the ball fields more up to date. Garner Mayor Tim Schmidt wants to make that happen.
The council passed Resolution 2022-71 which allows for an investment of $1 million to make these upgrades for the city’s youth.
Schmidt acknowledged that the Garner youth need to have a safe and playable field to hold ballgames and practices.
