The Garner City Council was apprised of hail damage done by a storm system earlier this year. They were asked to find a roofing repair company that could fix city properties damaged by the hail. The council agreed to accept the bid from Ryans Roofing according to Mayor Tim Schmidt.
While the city buildings took a toll on damage in some locations, Schmidt said that residents saw a fair amount of damage too.
Work on the roofs of city buildings will begin shortly according to Schmidt.
