Shirley A. Heginger, 85, of Belmond, IA, died, Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2022, at the Villa Health Care Center, Fort Dodge, IA.
Public funeral services will be 10:30 AM, Tuesday, Aug. 30. 2022, at the Klemme United Methodist Church, Klemme, IA. Burial will be in the Ell Township Cemetery, Klemme.
Public visitation will be from 5-7 PM, Monday at the Andrews Funeral Home 528 East Main, Klemme and will continue one hour prior to the services at church Tuesday.

Shirley Ann Green, was born April 16, 1937, to Elmer and Ruth (Ewing) Green in Farnhamville, IA. She attended several area school graduating in 1955 from the Otho High School, Otho, IA. She then attended Tobin Business College, Fort Dodge, IA.
Following college, she was employed at the Cownie Fur Store and the Quaker Oats Office.
She married LuVerne Heginger on Aug. 31, 1957, at her parents’ home near Otho, IA. They made their home in Fort Doges and Callender before moving to Klemme in 1971 and Belmond in 1989.
They had 7 children: Ronald, Joanne, Roger, Gordon, Marilyn, David, and Gary.
After moving to Klemme, Shirley was employed for 10 years at the Korleski Locker. Later when they moved to Belmond Shirley was employed at the Belmond Health Care Center as a supper cook for 10 years before retiring in 2000.
They had taken various trips including traveling to Hawaii, Germany and various other countries near the Germany geographic region. Shirley enjoyed watching TV, playing bingo throughout the area, knitting, attending auctions, and times spent with her family.
She was a long-time member of the Klemme United Methodist Church, UMCW, and the Klemme Grandmother’s Club. Another one of Shirley, LuVerne and the family’s favorite past times was attending country music show, including groups such as her favorites Statler Brothers numerous times, Kitty Wells, and many others.
Shirley is survived by Ronald Heginger, Algona, IA, Joanne, Roger, and Gordon Heginger all of Belmond, IA, Marilyn Heginger of Sheldon, IA. David (Tammy) Heginger, Klemme, IA, and Gary Heginger, of Kanawha, IA. Also surviving are her 15 Grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and LuVerne’s brothers and sisters-in-law, along with many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
Shirley was preceded in death by her mom and dad, husband LuVerne on Dec. 16, 2009, granddaughter Rhonda Heginger, and son-in-law Larry Eckhoff.
